Members of the public are invited to attend the January Board meeting of NHS Bath and North East Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group, the organisation that is responsible for planning and paying for local NHS services.
The meeting will be held between 10:30am and 1:30pm on Thursday 14th January at the Centurion Hotel in Midsomer Norton.
The Board will be looking at the performance of local NHS services over the last few months and reviewing the CCG’s plans for 2016-17 to ensure that everyone in B&NES receives the right care, at the right time, in the right place.
Dr Ian Orpen, a local GP and Clinical Chair of the CCG said: “The next 12 months will be a challenging time for everyone involved in providing local health and care services.
“The CCG’s job is to make sure that GPs, hospitals, community services and local charities are all working together effectively so that we can make the most of our limited resources.
“Rising demand and tight finances mean the job becomes more challenging every year but we are working closely with the council and other partners to provide more joined up care and reduce inefficiencies across the system.
“Everyone is welcome to come along to our Board meetings to find out how we are doing and what plans we have in place for the year ahead.”
