Ben Howlett, the Member of Parliament for Bath, has been made a new Vice President of The Forever Friends Appeal, the Royal United Hospital’s charity.
The Forever Friends Appeal is an excellent charity, which funds projects that make a real difference to the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients cared for by the RUH each year, as well as the many friends and family who visit them.
Following his appointment, Ben commented: “It is an honour to have been appointed a Vice President of The Forever Friends Appeal. They are a fantastic charity who make a real difference to so many people at such difficult times.
“They work closely with the RUH on key projects such as building a new cancer centre which is set to be one of the best in the UK. I look forward to working closely with them and supporting their wide range of events.”
Tim Hobbs, Head of Fundraising at The Forever Friends Appeal said: “We are extremely grateful to Ben for his support towards fundraising for patient care at the RUH.
“We are currently focused on raising the last £1.6m of our Cancer Care Campaign to reach an £8.5m target.
“We are delighted that Ben is joining us as a Vice President to help us deliver vital projects and services at the RUH.”
