Mark Harris, Chief Operating Officer, Wiltshire CCG said: “We are delighted to be working with E-zec to deliver a non-emergency patient transport service for patients across BaNES, Swindon, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
“Ensuring patients have a great experience when using the service is our priority, and we have carefully designed the contract with E-zec to provide this.”
E-zec delivers services across the UK and currently provides non-emergency patient transport services across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
The company expects to complete around 180,000 patient journeys each year across B&NES, Gloucester, Swindon and Wiltshire.
The Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) provides ambulance transport for patients who require it in special circumstances and due to medical need. For example, patients may require medical assistance during the journey, which means public transport, is not an option for them.
