Renewable energy specialists Torishima have raised £2163.03 for Bath-based charity Jemima’s Gift at its annual Charity Golf Day.
Now in its second year, the event was again hosted by Cumberwell Park Golf Club, near Bradford-on-Avon and attracted over 20 businesses nationwide.
Forty golfers took part in an 18-hole stableford competition that was keenly contested and won for the second year running by a representative of Imtech Process, Duncan Wildgoose taking the top honours after carding an impressive -8 total.
A charity prize raffle and three-course lunch followed and the whole event was deemed to be a resounding success by Torishima (Europe) Projects Managing Director, Steve Retford.
He said: “I’d like to thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to support this event in aid of Jemima’s Gift.”
“The sum of money raised was significantly higher than the previous year’s total and will make a massive difference to a small charity that does so much to help children and young adults from all walks of life to reach their potential.”
