The funeral for four-year-old Mitzy Rosanna Steady, who was killed in the Weston lorry crash along with three others, is to be held at Bath Abbey on Monday.
A Scania tipper truck lorry carrying aggregate was in collision with two pedestrians and several vehicles in Lansdown Lane, Bath, just after 4pm on Monday 9th February.
The lorry overturned onto a Volvo at the bottom of the hill. Three men who were in the car died at the scene from their injuries.
Four-year-old Mitzi also died at the scene of the collision.
She had been walking with her grandmother, who remains in hospital having sustained life-changing injuries.
Mitzi’s family released a short statement, saying: “The funeral for our darling daughter, Mitzi Rosanna Steady will be held at Bath Abbey on Monday the 23rd February at 1pm.
“All those that knew her or have been touched by her short life in some way are welcome.
“We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all those who helped the injured at the scene of the accident and have looked after our family, and the other families involved, since then.
“We have set up a website in Mitzi’s name for the road safety charity Brake (https://www.justgiving.com/MitziSteady) as an alternative to flowers, for those that would like to give.
“We thank you for all of the kind words and donations to date, they give us strength.”
Two men were arrested on Tuesday morning, on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence.
Both have now been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
