Avon Fire and Rescue have been tackling a blaze at Bath’s world famous Moles nightclub on George Street in the city centre.

Smoke was seen billowing out of the building this morning by passers-by and emergency services were soon on scene.
Five fire engines attended the fire, as did a number of ambulance crews. George Street has been closed to passing traffic.
Fire crews had been searching the building for a band who may have been sleeping in the accommodation at the premises.
James Gillett, the guitarist from band Mallory Knox who had been using Moles, told NOW Bath that they were not in the building at the time of the fire and had left last night to spend the weekend at home.
Moles is a live venue and club situated in the centre of Bath. It also has a fully equipped recording studio and has helped a number of bands succeed in the early stages of their careers including the Eurythmics , Radiohead, The Cure, Blur, Oasis and The Smiths.
More recently the venue has been host to artists such as The Killers, Mumford and Sons, The Vaccines and Laura Marling
It has been confirmed that there were no injuries from the fire and that George Street will be opening shortly.
The fire was contained to the ground floor of the building.
