Fire crews tackle ambulance engine blaze in the centre of Keynsham

Firefighters tackled a fire in the engine compartment of an ambulance on the High Street in Keynsham just after 8.30am this morning.

The crew used a high pressure hose reel to tackle the blaze and were on scene for around 30 minutes.

One crew from Brislington Fire Station attended the incident.

It is not known if the ambulance was responding to an emergency call, but the blue lights on the vehicle were flashing as the fire took hold.
