A motorcyclist has died following a serious collision involving a car shortly after 4pm this afternoon, on a stretch of road close to the A46 and J18 of the M4.
Avon and Somerset Police say they were called at 4.10pm this afternoon to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car.
Tolldown Road, between Cotswold Way and Shire Hill, has been closed while investigation work takes place.
The road is expected to remain closed for some time.
South Western Ambulance Service told us they were called at 4.11pm this afternoon to attend a road traffic incident on Tolldown Road in Tormarton.
They sent various resources to the incident, including two ambulances, an air ambulance, a hazardous area response team, and an operations officer.
