A body has been discovered on the M4 at J18 north of Bath, leading to a closure of the motorway as the emergency services work at the scene.

Avon and Somerset Police have closed the westbound carriageway of the M4 near to junction 18 following reports that a man had jumped or fallen from a bridge over the motorway.
The man died at the scene.
Motorists travelling towards Bristol from Wiltshire are advised to expect delays and may wish to find an alternative route.

The westbound carriageway between J17 and J18 is closed but motorists can re-join the westbound carriageway at J18.
The eastbound carriageway is unaffected and remains open.
