Firefighters from Bath’s Fire Station tackled a blaze at the rear of the Marks & Spencer store in the city centre yesterday afternoon, involving a number of plastic crates.
A large amount of black smoke was seen coming from the scene, with police helping to evacuate the area ahead of fire crews arriving to put out the blaze.
Avon Fire & Rescue said they were called to reports of a fire involving a number of wheelie bins at around 2.15pm.
They sent two fire engines to the scene, with firefighters using two high-pressure hose reels to quickly extinguish the fire.
