Crews from Paulton Fire Station were called to reports of the fire shortly after 10pm.

In a statement, the fire service said: “On arrival, crews found one vehicle well alight.

“With one firefighter wearing breathing apparatus, crews used one high pressure hose reel and a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.

“The cause of the incident is thought to have been deliberate ignition.”

Local resident Timothy Clarkson described hearing “two explosions”, and kindly shared video of the scene with us.
