Avon Fire & Rescue sent four fire crews and a turntable ladder to Claude Avenue in Oldfield Park this morning to tackle a blaze involving rubbish, which is believed to have been started accidentally.

Avon Fire & Rescue were called at 10.03 this morning, Thursday 26th July, to reports of the fire, which involved a large amount of rubbish, wood and trees.

Three crews from Bath Fire Station and one from Kingswood were sent to the scene.

Two firefighters in breathing apparatus used a 45mm jet to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters say they believe the cause to be accidental.
