Bath bus station on Dorchester Street was evacuated this afternoon, and a number of nearby roads were closed, after a bag was left unattended at the site.

Avon and Somerset Police closed off St James’s Parade towards the station, and bus services were temporarily diverted.

The evacuation comes as the government last night decided to increase the threat level of international terrorism in the UK to ‘critical’, meaning another attack may be imminent.
