The scholarships are being made available to those who have been made redundant or had to close their own business.

The scholarships are created in memory of Deb Lewis, former MBA Director of Studies who passed away in May 2020, to support people in the region severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

People who live in the ‘Western Gateway’ region of South West England and South Wales are eligible to apply for the scholarships, which cover core tuition fees for the year-long course, starting on Monday 19th October 2020.

The application deadline is Wednesday 30th September 2020.

“The thinking behind the scholarships is to help people to rebuild their careers and contribute to our local economy,” said Professor Stephen Wyatt, Executive Director (MBA and Post Experience Programmes).

“Deb was an outstanding teacher, colleague and role model. She always looked out for those who needed support and through these awards we want to honour her memory by supporting our local community during the pandemic.”

The Bath MBA improves leadership and business skills to enable students to fast-track or change their careers.

The Bath MBA has a very practical orientation, with learning supported by leading academics combined with multiple opportunities to apply the acquired knowledge and insight in real-world project assignments.

Under teaching arrangements for the 20/21 academic year students will have a full timetable of in-person learning and independent study.

The University’s full-time MBA is placed in the top 10 in the UK in The Economist WhichMBA? rankings 2019.
