A popular rural school to the south of Bath has launched a new ‘Open Tours’ initiative so more people can visit the growing school, whenever they want to.

Shoscombe Church School children and headteacher Ruth Noall

Shoscombe Church School, which over the past year has seen huge amounts of funding invested, new after-school clubs created and the opening of a new library, says prospective parents and members of the community are welcome to visit any day of the week.

Headteacher Ruth Noall said: “We’re a school that’s very much at the heart of the community. Our links with the church, parish council, residents’ groups and the village hall mean a lot to us.

“We want people living in Shoscombe, and beyond, to feel that this is their school, as well as it being for the children that attend here each day.

“Our new Open Tours initiative means any day is an open day, all prospective visitors need to do is call the office!”

The focus for the school’s new term is ‘aspiration’. Many visitors will be stepping through the front door throughout January to help children think about their future.

If you want to find out more about Shoscombe Church School, call the office to make an appointment on 01761 432479.
