Snapdragons Nurseries Ltd is planning to erect a new building at its Ellsbridge House site in Keynsham.

The Snapdragons chain, which also has branches in Bath, Bristol and Wiltshire, says Bath & North East Somerset Council has provided a grant to help fund the proposed purpose-built training space as it wishes to be able to train local authority pre-school teaching staff.

The detached single-storey building will also provide Snapdragons’ staff with a break-out space.

The new facility is said to be needed because the current space in the main Grade II listed manor house building on Bath Road is insufficient.

The application is seeking both planning permission and listed building consent from B&NES Council.

The reference is 25/04779/FUL and the deadline for comments is 29th January.
