Bath College is celebrating the work of talented art and design students with an end of year show open to the public, beginning tomorrow and running through until Saturday.
Final year students studying graphic design, art and design, photography, fashion and textiles, product design and fine art are all displaying their work at the exhibition.
Prospective students are also being encouraged to visit and see the wide range of art specialisms available to study at the college.
Jo Sanders, Deputy Head of Department for Creative Arts and Enterprise, said the display would give students valuable exhibition experience.
She said: “We are very pleased with this year’s innovative exhibition. I would advise everyone with an interest in a creative career to come along and have a look at our fantastic facilities and work.”
Students studying art and design benefit from access to specialist equipment in a highly regarded department.
Jo continued: “A high proportion of students are going on to study at university, including Rhianne Good and Amber Bowerman who have secured places at the Old Vic Theatre School to study costume design, Joseph Amies, who is going to Magdalen College, Oxford University to study Fine Art and Caitlin Allison, who is going to Central St. Martins to study Architecture.”
“I’m really proud of our students when I see the journeys they have made. It’s particularly rewarding for staff to be able to help students in a new environment.”
The exhibition is open to the public on Thursday 21st June through to Saturday 23rd June from 10am to 4pm.
