A comprehensive school in North East Somerset has submitted a planning application to install a new open-plan modular building on its campus.

The planning application submitted for the new building at Chew Valley School at Chew Magna includes toilets, an assembly hall, two classrooms and a storeroom.

It is proposed to erect it on a grassed area between the car park and the existing school.

It would mean the loss of three trees but the planting of 129 small trees in an area not affected by construction work, Bath & North East Somerset Council has been advised.

The planning reference is 25/02972/FUL and the deadline for comments is 6th November.
