Over 1000 children from across Bath and North East Somerset will be taking part in two Carol Services at Bath Abbey on Monday 7th December.

The first service will take place at 10.30am, and the second will be at 2pm.

They have been organised by Bath & North East Somerset Council’s music service.

The Council’s Vice Chairman, Cllr Alan Hale will attend the morning service and the Chairman Cllr Ian Gilchrist the afternoon service. Both services are open to the public.

Services will include carols with musical interludes from some of the schools as well as some brand new carols written by Tim Parker, vocal coordinator for the Music Service.

Carols will be accompanied by an ensemble made up of music service staff and of course the Bath Abbey organ.

There will also be a Christmas Memorial Service on Sunday 13th December, at 3pm in the Top Chapel at Haycombe Cemetery.

This is a chance for people to remember their loved ones at Christmas; attendees will be invited to message on a tag and place on the Christmas tree or light a candle.
