We’re appealing for information after a local resident had her flat broken into on Thursday afternoon near to the city centre.
Twitter user Maya Marshall (@MayaMakeupUK) had left her flat in Nelson Place West for around three quarters of an hour at 1pm on Thursday and upon arriving back discovered the break-in.
She immediately took to Twitter to raise the alarm in the hope of getting some of her personal possessions back.
The thief had wedged the door open to force entry into the top floor flat.
One of the stolen items was an Apple iPad with in-built tracking technology, which the thief then proceeded to disable after the break-in. The iPad was in a pink leather case, which would be easily recognisable.
Items stolen in the burglary include:
- An HP Laptop
- Silver Sony Vaio
- iPad 3 with pink leather case
- Various iPhone and iPad cables
- Jewellery – An antique Gold Watch pendent, diamond pendent necklace, star cubic zirconia silver necklace, diamond heart bracelet, various earrings and bangles
- A grey diesel bag
- Various items of makeup
- A green Leather purse which had various photos and cards.
Local residents took to the social networking site Twitter to post messages of support to Maya. These included:
