Drivers are expecting long delays today and tomorrow on the London Road as roadworks partially block the route into the city.
The roadworks at Lambridge by Wessex Water started earlier this morning and have already caused long queues into the city centre.
The emergency work to repair a valve under the road was expected to last for two days, with traffic lights being used to regulate the flow of traffic.
Signs and traffic lights were put in place at around 10pm last night in anticipation of the work.
Wessex Water have said this morning that they now expect the work to be completed by rush hour this evening.
@bathchron @WeLoveBath @nowbath Emergency road surface repairs in London Rd, should be completed today. Leak repaired overnight. Apologies.
