Dealer Brings Korean Ssangyong Franchise To Bath

Minerva Bath, a local car dealership, has agreed an exclusive franchise arrangement with Korean car manufacturer Ssangyong to bring their range of vehicles to the area.

The Box road car dealership has previously only dealt in the sales of pre-owned vehicles however the move to add a new car portfolio to the forecourt is intended to enhance its offering.

According to Managing Directors James Currant and John Lyddy this presents a great opportunity for the business to bring an underrepresented brand to the West Country.

James Current explained: “The Ssangyong brand is performing well in the UK and while it is not yet a well known brand here it is the oldest Korean car manufacturer.

“Since launching its latest range of cars there have been a notable number of Ssangyong cars seen on our roads and so its visibility and profile is gradually increasing.

“The cars are excellent quality, of a high specification and within an affordable price range so we anticipate them to be really popular particularly as we move towards September and into the new registration period.

“To be able to have an exclusive franchise for Bath is really exciting for us and particularly to have a brand that sits easily alongside our pre-owned premium vehicles.”

The first shipment of Ssangyong cars are anticipated to arrive at Minerva Bath at the beginning of August and a full complement of vehicle demonstrators will be available.  Customers will be encouraged to view the new range on display and invited to have a test drive.

Since opening for business in July 2013 Minerva Bath has also added a new MOT centre to its site to provide a one-stop-shop, hassle free service to clients from buying a car and looking after it year on year.
