Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a man missing from Market Drayton, who is originally from the Radstock area.

Shane Bowen, 19, was last seen at around 11.30pm on Monday 2nd September when he left Ashley House, near Ashley.

Extensive searches were made of the area and inquiries to locate him are ongoing, with assistance from colleagues from West Mercia Police and Avon and Somerset Police.

Shane is originally from the Radstock area of Bath but may have made his way to Market Drayton, Shropshire, to seek transport south. He is described as white, 6ft 3ins with an athletic build. He was wearing a white t-shirt/vest, trainers and cut-off jeans when he was last seen.

Chief Inspector Clare Riley, Newcastle Borough Local Policing Team Commander, said: “We are continuing to make inquiries to locate Shane and are in regular contact with police in the Market Drayton and Bath areas as it is possible he will be trying to make his way to either of these areas where he is known to have connections.

“We are keen to locate Shane and ask members of the public not to approach him as he has learning difficulties and can be aggressive. If you see him please ring police straight away so officers can speak to him.”

Anyone with information on Shane’s whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately on 999, quoting Staffordshire Police incident number 918 of September 2.
