Bath woman found to be more than four times over drink-drive limit

A woman has appeared in court in Bath to admit driving while more than four and a half times over the legal alcohol limit.

On 4th January, a black Mini Cooper was seen swerving on Wellsway at Bear Flat in Bath.

The driver Ashleigh Ball was found to have 163 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35.

At the hearing on Wednesday 11th February, magistrates warned her that the reading was so high, it passed the custody threshold, and they ordered an “all options” pre-sentence report.

The 32-year-old, of Wellsway, was granted unconditional bail and will be sentenced at the court on 15th April.

Magistrates imposed an interim driving disqualification.
