Avon and Somerset Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a collision near Bath on Monday evening in which a motorcyclist died.

The collision, between a Triumph motorcycle and a BMW, happened on the A4 Bristol Road, close to the Globe roundabout, at about 6.24pm on Monday (7th November).

The motorcyclist was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath but died from his injuries.

He’s been formally identified as 39-year-old Daniel Martin from Felton in North Somerset.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

If you have information and haven’t yet spoken to the police, call the Collision Investigation Unit at Almondsbury on 101 and give the call handler the reference number CI/228/16.
