Avon and Somerset Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage after thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused to a number of cars at a showroom in Bath.

Police believe the seven Ford cars were damaged in the space of just two minutes overnight on Friday 7th to Saturday 8th August at the Allen Ford showroom on the Lower Bristol Road.

Officers at the adjacent police base heard the noise and ran down three flights of stairs to investigate, finding the damaged vehicles with smashed windows, scratches and dents.

A search found no trace of the offender and early CCTV enquiries suggest the incident happened between 10.56pm and 10.58pm.

The showroom’s key holder was alerted and the investigation continues.

If you were in the area and saw anything suspicious, or have any dashcam footage of Lower Bristol Road at the time, call 101 quoting reference 5220177740.
