Police in Bath are appealing for information to help identify a group of four men and a woman they would like to talk to about an assault in Walcot Street last month.

It happened at around 2am near Club XL on Tuesday 21st April.

The group had been involved in an argument inside the club and had been ejected around 15 minutes earlier.

They waited outside and were then allegedly involved in a fight with two other men who had left the club.

One of the pair, both in their early 20s, was knocked unconscious.

The other was punched repeatedly and suffered bruising to his face and body. Both needed hospital treatment.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who knows the people pictured, two black or mixed heritage men and two white men, and a white woman.

They would particularly like to talk to a black or mixed heritage man (pictured below), in a red and black short-sleeved top with a black baseball cap, who may have intervened in the disturbance and could be an important witness.

Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 quoting reference number 40264/15.
