An investigation has been launched after the body of a man was recovered from the River Avon near Green Park Road in Bath.
Emergency services were called to a report of someone in the water at 8.45am this morning, Tuesday 22nd August.
Avon & Somerset Police say that while formal identification is yet to be completed, officers believe they have now traced the man’s next of kin.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained, pending the results of a post-mortem examination.
