A man with a history of violent offending was jailed for 14 days by Bath magistrates last week after admitting he’d breached his supervision requirements following a prison sentence.

The Probation Service said that Jordan Rawlings, of no fixed address, failed to attend all his appointments, including one with the substance misuse team.
The court also heard that a bail hostel place had been secured for Rawlings in Bridgwater, but he had not gone there.
The 28-year-old appeared in the dock in custody on Wednesday 21st January.
A probation report read to the court outlined Rawlings’ “violent history” with previous convictions which include burglary, robbery and cuckooing.
He is said to have anger management issues and the report highlighted the “very high risk” he poses to the public.
During his appearance in the dock, Rawlings was reprimanded by the chair of the bench for his outbursts including swearing.
He was represented in court by solicitor Will Palmer who explained that Rawlings felt his probation officer did not like him.
He did not want to go to the bail hostel in Bridgwater as it was away from his support network of family and friends in the Bath and Bristol area.
Mr Palmer asked magistrates to fine Rawlings rather than imprison him again. However, they sentenced him to two weeks in prison and urged him to engage with the Probation Service on his release and work with them, not against them.
