Avon and Somerset Police arrested two people yesterday, Thursday 23rd February, for possession of drugs after searching two properties in Wedmore Park and Fosse Gardens in Bath.
Specialist search officers joined local and neighbourhood officers carrying out the warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act at addresses in Wedmore Park and Fosse Gardens at 7.30am.
A 48-year-old man from Wedmore Park and a 39-year-old woman from Fosse Gardens were both arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug. The man was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class B drug.
Officers searching the Wedmore Park property seized white powder, green vegetable matter, an air rifle and a knife. The search in Fosse Gardens led to the seizure of white powder.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Jon Raisey said: “Today’s operation is part of our ongoing commitment to tackling drug crime in our city and responding to community information.
