Three Bath men have appeared in court in custody charged in connection with a “large-scale affray” in the city centre on Tuesday 26th August.

One of the three, Ashley Cooper, of Monksdale Road, admitted two charges of having an offensive weapon with him at Kingsmead Square.
One of the weapons was a yellow cosh-style weapon and the other a mallet.
At the hearing on Thursday 28th August, Bath magistrates jailed the 44-year-old for four months for each offence, to run concurrently.
They said the offences were so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified. They also ordered the forfeiture of the cosh and mallet.
Ashley Dunford, 39, of Julian House in Manvers Street, also appeared in court last Thursday, charged with having an offensive weapon, namely a broken bottle, with him at Westgate Street, and another charge of attempting to unlawfully and maliciously cause grievous bodily harm to an as yet unknown man with intent.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody to Bristol Crown Court for a trial preparation hearing on 26th September.
A third defendant, 31-year-old Daniel Mullholland, of Haycombe Drive, Southdown, appeared in the dock to deny a charge of assaulting Ashley Dunford in Westgate Street, causing him actual bodily harm.
Magistrates remanded him in custody, and his case was also adjourned to Bristol Crown for a trial preparation hearing on 26th September.
