A 39-year-old Bath man has admitted a series of shoplifting offences in the city.
James Sowerby, of Excelsior Street, was granted bail by Bath magistrates on Wednesday 11th June on the condition that he keeps out of Primark, M&S, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s in both Dorchester Street and Monmouth Street, Tesco in Stall Street and Co-op at Widcombe Hill.
The court heard that Sowerby is in breach of a conditional discharge.
He also admitted an assault at Waitrose on 5th June.
A criminal damage charge that he damaged doors at the store on the same day was withdrawn.
Sowerby will be sentenced on 3rd September at the court.
