Police seek driver after teenager injured in collision in Royal Victoria Park

Police are appealing for witnesses and footage after a driver failed to stop following a collision which seriously injured a teenager in Royal Victoria Park in Bath earlier this month.

The incident happened at around 7.40pm on Saturday 11th July and involved a car and a pedestrian.

The victim, a man in his late teens, was sitting on a bench when the collision occurred and suffered serious injuries to his ankle.

He was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged and is continuing his recovery at home.

Police have remained in contact with him and carried out a number of enquiries as the investigation continues.

The driver is described as a woman of medium build with blonde hair. She was wearing sunglasses and a black cardigan.

The vehicle involved was a dark grey or black hatchback, believed to be similar to a Renault Megane.

Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, has information about what happened or holds relevant dashcam or mobile phone footage to come forward.

They are also particularly keen to speak to a man who took the injured teenager to hospital after the collision.
