Police seek Range Rover driver after serious crash on A46 near Bath

Avon & Somerset Police have launched an appeal for witnesses and help to identify a driver who left the scene of a serious collision on the A46 near Upper Swainswick.

Emergency services were called to Gloucester Road at 3.06pm this afternoon, Saturday 11th July, following reports that a white Dacia and a black Range Rover had collided.

The three people travelling in the Dacia were taken to hospital.

Police say the driver of the Range Rover left the scene after the crash and efforts to locate him are continuing.

The A46 remains closed between its junctions with London Road and the A420 while officers carry out an initial investigation at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw either vehicle in the period leading up to it, to come forward.

Drivers with relevant dashcam footage are also being asked to contact officers.
