The Bath & North East Somerset policing team has issued a warning after being made aware of rogue traders cold calling on Bloomfield Road and the surrounding area in Bath.
The police said on their Facebook page: “The men involved offer landscaping work and will take photos of both the outside and inside of your house.
“They are described as white men, Irish accents, their ages ranging from 20 to 50.
“Please report any suspicious behaviour to 101 or online. In an emergency, please phone 999.”
In response, a victim described the men’s behaviour as “very intimidating” and said items including a petrol strimmer, hedge cutter and lawn mower had been reported to the police as stolen.
