Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for help from the public after a 17-year-old man was threatened and robbed of cash in the Memorial Park in Keynsham.

Officers are keen to identify the young man in the above CCTV still, from a nearby petrol station.

The robbery happened at between 5.30pm and 6.45pm on Saturday 21st October. A 17-year-old boy was engaged in conversation with another young man who then claimed to have a knife and demanded cash, which was handed over. No weapon was seen in the incident.

The suspect is described as of mixed race, about 6ft 3ins tall and of athletic build, with a moustache.

The victim believed him to be aged around 17, but said he looked older. He was wearing a green jacket, black Nike fleece jogging bottoms and trainers.

Anyone with any information which could help police enquiries is asked to get in touch online, through www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact, or by calling 101, quoting reference 5217240894.

Alternatively ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. They never ask your name or trace your call. You could even qualify for a reward and still remain anonymous.
