Avon and Somerset Police are asking for help from the public to identify four young men in connection with an assault on a man in Pennyquick Park, Newton Road, Bath on 5th December.
It happened at around half past midnight after the 53-year-old man challenged the group who were kicking a bus shelter.
They followed him towards Shaws Way and attacked him. He suffered bruises and two broken ribs and needed hospital treatment.
The first suspect is described as white, aged 16-20, 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall, of slim build with short brown hair and a slim face.
He has prominent cheek bones, a rounded jaw, and was wearing a navy blue t-shirt, blue jeans and white trainers.
The second is white, aged 16-20, 5ft 8in to 6ft tall, of medium build, with short scruffy brown hair with a fringe, wearing a brown coloured fleece jacket, jeans and trainers.
The third is white, aged 16-20, 5ft 7ins tall, stocky, with short hair with blonde highlights, wearing a dark hooded top, dark jeans and trainer boots.
The fourth is white and aged between 16-20.
