Police investigate criminal damage to cars in Walcot area of Bath

A number of cars in the Walcot area of Bath were deliberately damaged earlier this week.

Reports on social media suggest that about eight cars may have been scratched in Walcot Street and the Paragon.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Avon & Somerset Police said: “We received a report of a car being scratched in a car park off Walcot Street, in Bath, at around 12.50pm on Tuesday 2nd September.

“The owner reported how the vehicle was left with scratches along the driver’s side at around 7.25am that morning.

“A number of other cars were also allegedly damaged on the same day.

“We are following up positive lines of enquiry.”
