Police in Bath are appealing for information about an unprovoked attack on a young man and woman in the Homebase car park in Pines Way on Valentine’s Day last month.
The assault left the man with a double fracture of his jaw.
They were assaulted by three people, two men and a woman, believed to be students, who followed them from Green Park station.
The injured man reported the incident to police the following day and went to the RUH, where he was admitted for surgery.
It happened between 12.30-1am on Saturday 14th February. Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the people involved or witnessed what happened.
The man who was attacked was wearing a green hoodie, black jeans and a light green beanie hat. The woman with him was wearing a black coat, jeans, a rainbow-coloured scarf and carrying a green and pink checked backpack.
One of the male attackers was white, in his 20s, around 5ft 8ins tall with short dark hair, of athletic build with broad shoulders, wearing a red plaid jacket or shirt.
The second man was white, in his 20s , 5ft 7ins tall, wearing a bright turquoise or royal blue jacket and plain trousers.
One of these was also thought to have the word ‘REEM’ across front of his top.
The woman with them was white, in her early 20s, 5ft 5ins tall, of medium build, with long dark straight hair worn loose, wearing a dark leather-style jacket which was zipped up.
