A new police enquiry office, similar to the one proposed for the centre of Bath, has opened up in Keynsham’s One Stop Shop, co-located with Bath & North East Somerset Council.

This replaces the temporary enquiry office which was housed at Keynsham Police Centre, Ashmead Road, and provides a more central and easily accessible location for police enquiries.

Local residents can visit the police enquiry desk, which is located towards at the rear of the building, to report crime, for general policing enquiries and lost and found property alongside council information and library services.

You need to go to the main desk and will then be directed to the police desk.

Inspector Sarah Treweek said: “We are pleased to be a part of the One Stop Shop in Keynsham which is becoming a hub for local services. Providing an enquiry office service in such a central location is something we haven’t been able to do since 2011.

“We are looking forward to the neighbourhood policing team also moving into the new building in the next month and working even closer with the Council and our partners.”

Councillor David Bellotti, Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Resources, said: “We are pleased to welcome the Police to the new Keynsham One Stop Shop, on Market Walk.

“This latest welcome addition to the facility helps us to further provide local residents with joined-up customer service from a variety of public and voluntary sector partners.”

The police enquiry desk is open at the following times:

  • Monday 9am – 5pm
  • Tuesday 9am – 5pm
  • Wednesday 9.30am – 5pm
  • Thursday 9am – 5pm
  • Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm
  • Closed weekends and bank holidays
  • Closed for lunch: 1.15pm – 2pm

The address of the enquiry office is One Stop Shop, Keynsham Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham, BS31 1FS

This is now the police enquiry office for the town. Keynsham Police Centre is only open for custody functions and the previous police station, which ceased being an enquiry office in 2011, now houses investigatory teams.
