Murder Investigation Launched In Peasedown St John

Avon and Somerset Police have launched a murder investigation and arrested a 22-year-old man following the death of a woman in Peasedown St John.

Shortly before 10.30am yesterday (10th May) police were called to a residential address in Peasedown St John regarding a welfare concern for the occupant.

Upon arrival, a 55-year-old woman was found inside the property with serious head injuries.

She was airlifted to Southmead Hospital where she sadly died from her injuries earlier today.

As a result of police enquires, a 22-year-old man was arrested yesterday in connection with this incident.

He remains in police custody as police enquiries continue.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Avon and Somerset Police immediately on 101 or anonymously on Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
