Bath man is fined £40 after being found in possession of spice

A man from Whiteway in Bath has been fined £40 after being caught in possession of the Class B drug spice.

Glynn Weir appeared in custody before Bath magistrates on Monday 26th January.

He had failed to attend his court hearing on Wednesday 21st January so a warrant without bail had been issued.

Weir, of Linley Close, admitted that on 4th September 2025 at Monmouth Place in Bath, he had in his possession 12.13 grams of synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonist, commonly known as spice.

The 39-year-old was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £16 surcharge.

Magistrates ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drug.
