Man set to face trial for hotel spa fraud and indecent exposure charges

A man has appeared before magistrates to face charges of using a Bath hotel spa without paying and indecently exposing himself there.

Bath Magistrates’ Court

Sebastian Gaczol, 44, denies the charges which date back to 20th September last year.

Gaczol had been summoned to appear at Bath Magistrates’ Court in April, but did not attend so a warrant was issued for his arrest.

He appeared in court in custody on Monday, 13th July. The magistrates heard that notification of his court appearance had been sent to an old address.

It is alleged that Gaczol dishonestly obtained services from the Apex Hotel by entering and using the spa and steam room without intention to pay.

It is also claimed that while using the steam room he exposed himself, intending that someone would see and be caused alarm or distress.

Gaczol, of Wade Street in Bristol, was granted unconditional bail until his trial, which will be at the magistrates’ court in Bath on 15th March next year.
