Man in critical condition following late-night assault outside Bath pub

Two men have been arrested following an incident outside a pub in Bath last night, Saturday 14th August, in which a man received serious injuries.

CCTV images had been released of the pair, who police officers wanted to speak to in connection with the assault.

Both men, aged 30, are being held in police custody.

One male remains in a critical condition in hospital following the incident in the car park of The Charlcombe Inn (formerly the Blathwayt Arms), in Lansdown, at about 10.20pm.

A second male also attended hospital but has since been discharged.

Anyone who witnessed what happened is asked to call 101 and give reference number 5221186988.
