A 37-year-old man from Bath is to appear in court today (Monday 16th March), charged with attempted murder following the serious assault of two people on Saturday morning.
David Thurstone, of Morford Street, will appear at Bath Magistrates Court, charged with two counts of attempted murder.
Two people were rushed to hospital after the incident near the Sainsbury’s petrol station in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The man and woman were taken to the Royal United Hospital in Weston for treatment, with their injuries described as serious but not life changing.
They were released from hospital shortly afterwards.
The man is 33-years-old and received a head injury, and the woman is believed to be 29-years-old and suffered injuries to her cheek and arm.
A 37-year-old man was later arrested in connection with the incident and is appearing in court today charged with their attempted murder.
