43-year-old awaits sentence after admitting voyeurism charge

A man aged 43 has pleaded guilty at Bath Magistrates’ Court to a charge of voyeurism.

Richard James, from Kilmersdon Road in Radstock, admitted the offence which took place between 1st May and 9th June 2023.

He was remanded on unconditional bail for a pre-sentence report to be prepared by the Probation Service. He is due to be sentenced on 22nd April.

Magistrates told him that all options would be considered, including committing him to Bristol Crown Court, where the sentencing powers are greater.

The magistrates made an interim Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) requiring James, who was of previous good character, to register his details with the police in Keynsham within three days.
