A man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at St Mary’s Church in Bathwick on Tuesday evening, 24th March.
At around 9pm on Tuesday evening, a neighbourhood PCSO was patrolling the city alongside a police constable.
The pair heard an alarm sounding and saw a man run from St Mary’s Church in Darlington Street.
A suspect was arrested in nearby Bathwick Street, and the officers found the church door had been forced and the office area searched.
The man was held in custody while further enquiries were completed, including crime scene investigation.
