It is said that at Woodhouse Road in Bath on 5th February, Stuart Benham’s dog bit a black labrador’s testicles so badly that the animal had to be castrated.

The bulldog is currently being kept in a police compound, the court heard last Thursday, 14th August.

Benham, of Sheridan Road in Whiteway, also denies a charge of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of unlawful violence on the same date.

A trial date of 7th November was set. It will take place at the magistrates’ court.

Benham was granted unconditional bail until then.
