A man in his 20s has been found dead at a property on Church Street in Weston, during an incident which sparked a mass response from the emergency services due to chemicals being involved.
Avon and Somerset Police were called to the flat at around 10.30am yesterday morning, Sunday 26th August.
After police officers arrived, it is reported they began to feel unwell, so the road was cordoned off.
Firefighters were later seen entering the property to run a number of tests to ensure the flat was safe.
In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said it was believed a chemical had been stored there, but there was no risk to the public.
The man’s death is being treated as unexplained, but not believed to be suspicious.
