A full and thorough investigation into the discovery of two human feet in Bath has established they are more than likely a medical or educational exhibit, Avon and Somerset Police have said.

In total, three feet were found within a few hundred yards of each other earlier this year in and around the Weston Park East area of Bath.
An investigation into the first foot concluded in May, finding no crime had been committed. The investigation into the latter two has now reached the same conclusion.
As part of the investigation detailed forensic tests were carried out on the feet while they were also examined by a Home Office pathologist and a forensic anthropologist.
Officers also spoke with local educational and health care providers and the local authority as they sought to establish who the feet belonged to.
T/DI Paul Catton said: “We have carried out an extensive investigation into all three feet and have exhausted all active lines of enquiry pending any new information.
“We are satisfied that no crime has been committed and that the feet are more than likely an exhibit from a medical or educational establishment or from a private collection which has been disturbed by animals.”
